We organize and facilitate trade among players in Vintage Story on The Official Public Server (TOPS). We run a main store for instant trades, track pricing data across traded items, and provide a player-to-player trading platform (OCM).
Main store (instant trades): buy/sell common items quickly at listed prices.
Price tracking: we record historical trade pricing to improve transparency and help with fair trading.
OCM marketplace: players can list and trade directly with each other, using the same pricing and tooling.
About the currency (BT):
BT is designed to be a fully liquid trading currency. Its value is not permanently pegged to one specific metal or item.
The goal is to make trading smoother by giving players a common โtrade-anythingโ medium: you can earn BT by selling items
and spend BT to buy many other items the store accepts.
Backing / insurance (when funded):
When the system has sufficient reserves, we back BT with metals. If you hold more than 500 BT, you can request
the equivalent value in metals to be delivered to your deposit box as an always-accessible โinsuranceโ option.
The long-term goal is to maintain more value in metal reserves than BT in circulation, so even a โbank runโ
would not collapse the system (this was achieved last wipe; 2026 wipe will depend on how quickly reserves build up again).

- Account Balance shows your current store balance.
- Net Balance = Sell items โ Buy items (ignores pinned auto balance).
- Account Balance After Transaction = Account Balance + Net Balance (projection).
Cover a negative net with item payments.
Allocate % of positive Net Balance into items.
